We are hiring for a notable and talented Senior Educational Project Designer to join and lead our team of designers in Austin as we continue to inspire people to create meaningful human experiences.

Our Senior Project Designers (K-12)
  • Advocate for being consumed with what hasn't been imagined yet.
  • Inspire creativity, critical thought, and design excellence both internally and externally.
  • Foster collaboration between offices while promoting and providing design vision.
  • Collaborate with other firm-wide leaders
  • Support Business Development activities
  • Act as a mentor, teacher, and coach to design staff
  • Evaluate the quality of design and design activities
  • Ensure a high level of design quality throughout the firm.
  • Serve as ambassador of the firm's portfolio of work with ability to guide and educate others.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Strong understanding and awareness of historical values and context
  • Produce design at a level that would be perceived externally as excellent
  • Lead multiple project teams through the development of the design concept
  • Engage in creative and critical thought
  • Ability to receive criticism and respond appropriately and professionally
  • Inspires confidence and garners trust and respect with the project team and with clients
  • Provides a balanced approach and good judgement
  • Exhibits maturity and cultural awareness internally and externally
  • DYNAMIC presentation and interview skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and accountability
  • Embraces a mindset of continuous learning and constant improvement

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in support of an Architectural license required (accredited master's degree or 5-year bachelor's degree).
  • Registered Architect required.
  • 15+ years' experience in a similar role required.
  • Experience with modeling/drafting software (Autodesk Revit) required.
  • Strong experience with design software (Sketch-up, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) required.
  • Architectural experience in educational facilities is preferred.
