About the Role:

The VP, Supply Chain will be responsible for leading and managing all activities related to category management, sourcing, logistics, and warehouse management for the company's distributed generation solar photovoltaic and storage projects. This role requires a strong understanding of financial, procurement, and construction principles that support the successful development and completion of distributed generation solar photovoltaic and storage systems. In this role, you will drive cross-functional workflow improvements and seek to create a highly efficient supply chain ecosystem that will generate value enterprise-wide. We are searching for candidates across the company's hub offices of Chicago, IL, or Boston, MA where you will be in a hybrid work environment. You will report to the SVP, Clean Energy Deployment.

What You'll Do:

  • Establish a strategic supply chain vision that extends out at least three years to support organic and channel development in international and all domestic markets. (35%)
  • Formulate the development of a supply chain management strategy taking into consideration construction pipeline requirements as they relate to supply and demand considerations and minimizing price and supply risk resulting from continuously changing market conditions. (35%)
  • Lead process improvements through automation and process throughout the business unit. (10%)
  • Manage the company's Authorized Vendor List, equipment pricing forecasts, and project-level equipment spend versus budget (10%)
  • Develop the logistical and warehousing scope, schedule, and budget during the development phase of projects. (5%)
  • Drive sustainability initiatives within Supply Chain. (5%)

What You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of comprehensive knowledge in procurement and logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of enterprise-wide business, financial, and construction IT platforms such as Procore, NetSuite, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Working knowledge of key equipment required for the construction of commercial and industrial-scale solar photovoltaic systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems.
  • 3+ years experience in distributed generation solar photovoltaic construction preferred
  • 5+ years of combined experience in construction and/or estimation preferred
  • Commitment to the company's mission, with a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. The team values accountability and an ownership mentality.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how the company operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
  • Previous experience engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members.
