We are looking for a Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to provide a full range of maintenance and repair services for our pre-cast concrete operation in Denver, PA. 


The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs a wide range of electrical and/or mechanical duties utilizing complex equipment, tools and skills . Capable of performing complex machine installation, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks using equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics. Accountable to meet the above responsibilities while insuring conformance to safety and quality standards.


This is a Monday-Friday position working 1st shift (6AM or 7AM start time) with some Saturday OT.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Fundamental job requirements which an individual must be able to perform in order to accomplish the basic duties of the job.



  • Have the demonstrated ability to train Maintenance Mechanics to adequately perform equipment troubleshooting.

  • Work from blueprints, schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions from Maintenance Supervisor and/or equipment manufacturer technicians.

  • Dismantle and assemble machines, equipment, forms, heating, and other plant systems to gain access to defective parts using a variety of hand tools and equipment.

  • Move, erect, install and repair plant equipment such as compressors, pumps, regulators, motors, generators, air compressors, power washing systems, distribution centers, overhear doors, sandblasting chamber environmental equipment, various types of welding equipment, lighting, and power circuits, electric and air powered tools.

  • Works on mobile elevated platforms to erect, install and repair plant equipment, including but not limited to HVAC Equipment, lighting, and laser measurement systems.

  • Install and troubleshoot equipment through knowledge of Cage welding systems, CNC, hydraulics, pneumatics, relay electrical control systems and motor control systems. Compute electrical load, specify and install breaker panels and install power, control, and lighting lines wiring.

  • Inspects, makes adjustments and performs other preventative maintenance tasks as required or scheduled.

  • Responds to emergency equipment breakdowns and makes necessary repairs in a timely manner.

  • Assists in analyzing and addressing reoccurring maintenance issues/problems. Performs failure root cause analysis.

  • Assists in determining tools and equipment needed to perform maintenance tasks.

  • Commits to the continuous improvement process and serves as a role model.

  • Performs extensive troubleshooting to determine cause of machine/equipment malfunction. Performs extensive repairs and fabricates equipment components as required.

  • Compiles inspection reports and equipment condition reports. Maintains accurate material usage, time, production, or other required records.

  • Coordinates and works with contractors and vendors to insure timely completion of repairs.

  • Detects and reports improper operation, defective materials and unsafe conditions. Maintains equipment, storage, and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follows all safety rules and regulations.

  • Follows up with plant management personnel of repair status.

  • Follows up with plant maintenance leads for daily/weekly workflow schedule.


 


MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Duties performed by the job which are not critical to the successful completion of the essential job functions:



  • Maintains an understanding/working knowledge of the HCG evacuation plans/procedures.

  • Perform other job duties as assigned.


 


EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND/OR EDUCATION:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Journeyman License (Apprenticeship) and/or Associate’s degree in the mechanical and/or electrical field  preferred

  • 5+ years of extensive maintenance and troubleshooting required.

  • Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, complicated drawings, specifications, tables, handbooks, formulas, and training in the electrical and mechanical trades.


 


LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR REGISTRATIONS AS REQUIRED:



  • Valid driver’s license required

  • 10 hour OSHA Course Certification required

    • OSHA 30 preferred



  • Master Electrician License / Certification preferred.
