About the role: As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating UK HealthCare’s compensation structure to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives. You will assess and perform analysis on collected wage data, and prepare wage and salary data to assist compensation, forecasting, and management functions of the organization. This role requires an expert level in Excel, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Skills / Knowledge / Responsibilities • Analyze market trends to establish and maintain competitive pay ranges for the system• Conduct internal salary surveys and research labor market trends • Work closely with leadership and regulatory agencies, such as The Department of Labor to provide direct oversight on compensation issues related to the organization’s facilities and employees• Proficient in extracting necessary data from PR, SAP, Tableau, Success Factors and IES platforms• Reviews and recommends changes to compensation policies and procedures• Collaborate with Recruitment staff, hiring managers, Finance and executive team, to develop and implement compensation plans for new hires, promotions, and transfers• Ensure that compensation decisions are fair, equitable, and compliant with policies and relevant regulations including the compensation philosophy for the UK HealthCare.• Maintains and establishes processes to prevent pay errors, including conducting audits to maintain integrity of compensation structures and associated computer systems. Education/Background • Comprehensive grasp of both hospital employee compensation and the roles/jobs within a hospital environment. Healthcare is preferred but not required.• Demonstrated professional and operational knowledge of various functional areas of human resources in regards to Compensation both in terms of professional and operational aspects• Working knowledge of all employment laws and regulations, especially governing wage and hour practices (e.g., EEO, OSHA, FMLA, FLSA)• Process management skills, including mapping and streamlining processes• Organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects, goals and objectives• Initiative and self-direction as well as the ability to collaborate as part of a team• Must have strong oral and written communication skills to communicate with employees at all levels within a hospital/academic medical center• Strong systems experience with Excel• At least three years of experience as a compensation analyst is preferred• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is preferred• B.S. degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The successful candidate will possess and demonstrate skills, knowledge, and abilities which include the following: advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs with emphasis in Excel worksheets; experience with database and decision support systems is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in human resources, compensation, and data management. Ability to command respect and confidence with professional peers. Strong analytical skills. Ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines. Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service. Ability to gain respect and confidence with professional peers. |
