Position Summary:

Assist in the preparation of product while maintaining the highest level of quality standards. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1 st strategy.   • Experience in food manufacturing
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of related experience or training
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to compute rate, ration and percent
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in groups

  • Ensure the quality and freshness of all products
  • Set up, shut down, troubleshoot and operate equipment of a complex nature, which includes homogenizers, blenders, fillers and equipment of a similar nature
  • Blend ingredients in accordance with proper standards and recipes for the production of food products
  • Fill out reports, charts and records as required by the company and the regulatory process
  • Perform tanker receiving duties, including receiving, taking samples and the cleaning of tankers
  • Maintain production standards while operating equipment in a safe and sanitary manner in accordance with established methods
  • Maintain work areas in a safe and sanitary manner by following established procedures
  • Clean and sanitize equipment in work area, including the assembly and disassembly of such equipment and the flushing of chemicals through the equipment
  • Report equipment problems for repair
  • Coordinate production of food products in work area
  • Responsible for waste or shrink in product
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
  • Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
