Position: Senior Manager II, Software Engineering



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Design and architect complex projects. Ensure implementation through efficient code reviews and deliver high performing applications. Work with Product teams, convert requirements into Engineering stories, and scope stories for implementation in bi-weekly sprints. Mentor junior engineers by providing continuous feedback on their performance and identify potential opportunities. Ensure code developed has sufficient unit test code coverage and is functionally tested through automation for high quality delivery. Identify application bottlenecks and enhance application scalability and reliability. Ensure operational excellence. Build dashboards to identify errors in the customer journey. Measure the success of new feature delivery and the impact of new feature delivery on GMV. Work with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives. Build CI/CD pipelines to ensure that the code developed is not causing regression and reduced deployment times. Build application resiliency and upgrade the technology stack to reduce code complexity and enhance developer productivity.Supervise ten (10) employees (5 Staff Software Engineer(s), 4 Senior Software Engineer(s), and 1 Software Engineer III).



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 5 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area.



Skills required: Experience reviewing System Design and Architecture by leveraging knowledge of OOPS (Object Oriented Programming), SOLID Design principles, and Design Patterns. Experience building high performance, scalable, and reliable applications and distributed systems. Experience scaling software applications using Java, Ruby, Spring Data JPA REST, J2EE, JBOSS, Web Services, Hibernate, NoSQL, Oracle, and Cloud Computing. Experience leading an engineering team. Experience with full stack software development, including backend RESTful services, Android/iOS mobile, web front end using React, Ionic and React Native, orchestrations, and coding. Experience designing low latency and highly scalable synchronous and asynchronous systems using Kafka, JMS, and RabbitMQ. Experience improving application scalability and reliability by tuning applications using JFR and Memory Analysis. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $202,370/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
