Position: Software Engineer III



Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Deliver high quality technical designs and code for the product requirements in a fast-paced agile scrum environment. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions using Java, J2EE, Spring, Rest Web Services, and API Strategy. Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause). Use knowledge of data structures and algorithms to solve technical problems. Work on distributed messaging services such as Kafka. Work with NoSQL and columnar/document databases such as Cassandra. Review and evaluate whether the code follows design and development guidelines and standards and provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk. Develop program using Java, J2EE, JSON, JAXB, web services, IntelliJ, and Apache Tomcat. Review and test code with unit testing using Junit, Mockito, PowerMockito, and Code coverage. Work on SQL development and databases like Oracle and Cosmos. Develop and maintain dashboards to check various functionality and error happening and provide resolution. Build CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.



Skills required: Experience coding in Java programming language. Experience implementing Rest API microservices. Experience with MySQL Relational Database. Experience with JUnit and Mockito testing frameworks. Experience with high-level design. Experience with Jira, Git, and Jenkins tools. Experience with Linux/Unix Platform to deploy code. Experience using Apache Tomcat server to deploy application, check logs using Splunk, and develop and maintain Splunk dashboards to monitor errors. Experience with data capture using XML Parsing, JSON, and JAXB. Experience developing modules using Object Oriented Methodology, design patterns, and Service-Oriented Architecture. Experience using Agile scrum methodology, conducting backlogs requirement analysis, effort estimation, creating a task, and planning the sprint. Experience developing distributed message systems including Kafka and event-driven architecture. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $184,662/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
