Position: Senior Software Engineer



Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086



Duties: Requirement analysis and grooming with Samsclub Business/Product Team. Application and data design as per new requirement. End to End application code development. Code reviews of critical application modules. Change application cloud configuration as per events and incoming traffic. Fix security bugs in application raised by infosec security team. Unit and Integration testing of changed modules. Production release, cutover, and warranty support. Report data processing for business analysis. Implement critical application alerts and monitoring. Create technical documentation for application changes. Work with globally distributed team. Participate in root cause analysis of production issues and provide resolution to minimize impact. Respond to business/product team for data trends and legal issues.



Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience in microservice architecture implementation including different web services interacting with each other. Experience coding in Java Programming Language. Experience in maven applications build for creating artifacts. Experience implementing web services in Spring Boot. Experience in Application Data Messaging including Kafka and Service bus to deliver data between different applications. Experience with Non-Structured and Structured database design for saving and retrieving data as per the application functionality. Experience in Apache Cassandra and Oracle Database for complex data querying and modification. Experience in Apache Spark scripting language for data transformation and loading. Experience working with Cloud technology to deploy and scale application. Experience in CICD deployment including Automation of application build and deployment. Experience with Linux Operating System for monitoring, deploying, health check and viewing logs for application. Experience with unit and integration testing of application modules for which code is implemented. Experience with functional test automation for execution of test cases as part of build. Experience analyzing production issues and code debugging. Experience implementing fault tolerant and distributed architecture of application in different regions to avoid failures in case of regional issues. Experience setting up GSLB and traffic manager for application endpoints. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $182,073/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
