Job Description:
Overview:
This temporary position is responsible for labeling/packing boxes and inventorying orders as well as loading and unloading trailers. This position verifies work order integrity and customer satisfaction while insuring internal and external timely shipments. Also response for processing small packages in shipping system and separating orders on the back shipping line to insure internal and external timely shipments.
Weekly Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
Position Duration: May 27, 2024 - August 30, 2024
Hourly rate starts at $18.00 / hr
Responsibilities:
- Encourages and demonstrate a high level of safety
- Processes high volume of work with little if any assistance
- Responsible for Shop Pack - Competency in reading and interpreting (Reading Ship Via codes, Reading shipping comments, checking for customer event date & verifying shipping indicator)
- Checks the notes for special processing requirements
- Consolidates orders
- Verifies shop pack and carton number match
- Creates customer-packing slip through Oracle
- Places packing list inside of carton number one or on the outside based on customer
- Routes shipment to appropriate area
- Palletizes future shipments by carrier and ship dates
- Loads trucks off of shipping conveyor
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D preferred but not required
- Prior experience preferred but not required
- Basic computer skills
