Center for Adoption Support and Education (C.A.S.E.) is a national leader in mental health services for the adoption, foster, and kinship care community We envision a world where every child and family connected to adoption, foster, and kinship care thrives, embracing our individual and collective diversity. We improve the well-being and permanence of children and their families by delivering adoption competent mental health services, training a national network of professionals, and informing the field through research and advocacy.
For over 25 years, C.A.S.E. has combined best practices and innovation to provide specialized individual and family therapy, psychiatric services and support groups, education, and training. We have become a local, national, and international resource for adoptive, kinship and foster families and the professionals who support them. C.A.S.E. set out in 2021 on a new strategic direction to grow our clinical and training programs into a National Demonstration & Teaching Clinic and Knowledge Center. It is an exciting time as we grow our evidenced-based adoption competent clinical model and our accredited, award-winning training programs nationwide.
C.A.S.E has an annual budget of $12.8 million and a staff of 60+ employees.
About the Position:
We are seeking a creative, data-driven and results-oriented leader to oversee the strategy, implementation and management of C.A.S.E marketing, communications and public relations. C.A.S.E has evolved in the past 5 years from a regional organization to a national leader with international exposure. The organization is committed to expanding the marketing communications function to build brand awareness of C.A.S.E and its programs.
Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for developing and leading the team to build awareness and support of C.A.S. E's diverse programs to drive fee-based revenue, client impact, community support and serve as a resource for the fundraising and development team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record promoting diverse program areas and establishing the marketing and communications function as a valuable and high-performing unit within a nonprofit organization. This position works collaboratively across the organization, overseeing key programs and establishing benchmarks, goals and ensuring the successful implementation of campaigns. An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for C.A.S. E's mission are foundational.
This is a full-time, exempt hybrid position. On-site two (2) days per week, Burtonsville, MD, office.
Note: May require evening hours. Must occasionally attend specific agency functions in the evening and/or on weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, design, and implement a comprehensive marketing plan.
Develop and execute the strategic marketing and communications plan for all program areas across channels, including mobile platforms, video, and social media.
Responsible for brand management and ensuring brand identity, messaging and strategy are infused across the organization's disparate programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing initiatives support broader programmatic initiatives.
Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
Work closely with the senior management team to identify opportunities for revenue growth and implement cutting edge marketing initiatives to support revenue goals.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
Analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions and continually optimize marketing strategies.
Knowledge of cause marketing concepts, including planning, segmentation demographics, public relations, database analysis, digital marketing and direct marketing required.
Oversee the daily management of the Marketing team including budgeting, planning and staff development. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Develop and oversee media and public relations activities to create brand awareness.
Oversee and evaluate market research/new industry opportunities and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
Ensure the organization's message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences including mobile platforms, video, and social media.
Stay abreast of nonprofit and financial services trends to inform brand strategy and seek innovative ways of storytelling.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive traffic, new partner and donor acquisition, as well as other philanthropic support for the organization.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attends, leads and constructively contributes to a variety and internal and external meetings such as: management meetings, staff meetings, etc.
Keeps abreast of and maintains expertise on issues related to marketing.
Performs other related duties as may be required.
