Summary:
Provides direct patient care, conducts clinical research, provides education and training for activities in the field of Palliative Care; provides clinical care for appropriate patients in all disease stages including the spectrum from chronic disease to end of life; addresses physical, emotional, spiritual and social concerns in an attempt to improve quality of life; provides palliative care by administering medications and treatments, including but not limited to, relieving pain, nausea, difficulty breathing and depression.




Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience


License and Certification Requirement
1. License or permit to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in the field of Palliative Care.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Palliative Care.


NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
