Job Description




Laboratory Responsibilities



  • Performs all duties relevant to the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst position as required.

  • Performs environmental monitoring and compressed gas collection of controlled environments

  • Performs collection of water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systems

  • Performs lab support functions and inventory management

  • Maintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory

  • Performs laboratory investigation reports.

  • Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LJMS) for sample and sample test result tracking.

  • Schedules above tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis

  • A strong work ethic and ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods of time, pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.


Leadership Responsibilities



  • Leading direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serving clients in technical settings, such as laboratories or manufacturing facilities

  • Disseminate administrative communications

  • Demonstrate and promote the company vision

  • Proactively plan and multitask to maximize productivity

  • Meet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration

  • Coordinate scheduling and allocation ofresponsibilities, andnew hire on-boarding process

  • Coordinates training program

  • Development of teambuilding strategies and initiatives

Application of Lean concepts to improve



Qualifications




The Ideal Candidate would possess:



  • Laboratory experience (microbiology preferred)

  • 3-5 Years of cGMP experience

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

  • Experience with LIMS preferred


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, or other science related degree concentration, orequivalent directly-related experience

  • 3-5 year previous leadership experience

  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The position is full-time,Monday-Friday 7 am-3:30 pm.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance ofRensselaer, NY,and the surrounding areas are encouraged to apply.
