Description:
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT Technical Specialist to join our Enterprise Middleware Operations team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the Middleware infrastructure necessary to support development teams throughout the system development lifecycle. Our team directly supports Enterprise Applications, leveraging a variety of technologies including DataPower, MQ, WebSphere, IIB/ACE, Apache Tomcat, ColdFusion, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.


Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Support and Maintain Middleware Stack: Responsible for managing the Enterprise-Class Middleware and Container stack that underpins mission-critical systems.


• 
  Software Management: Oversee new capabilities, software upgrades, and enhancements. Provide direct support and consultation for application onboarding and integration.


• 
  On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call support rotation for critical systems.


• 
  Automation: Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.


• 
  Troubleshooting and Resolution: Address complex technical issues related to Middleware and Container technologies.


• 
  Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, providing technical expertise and guidance.


• 
  Availability and Performance: Ensure high availability and optimal performance of Middleware and Container systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance.


• 
  Process Improvement: Continuously enhance processes and procedures related to Middleware operations.


• 
  Strategic Contribution: Understand and contribute to the development of overall IT strategies.


• 
  Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends in technology and architecture.


• 
  Team Participation: Actively participate in team meetings, reviews, and project status reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent business experience.


• 
  Technical Skills:
  
  
  • Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and Web protocols (HTTP, XML).
  
  
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with AIX & RHEL.
  
  
  • 5 years of experience supporting IBM Middleware products: WebSphere, MQ, DataPower, IHS.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Additional Qualifications:
  
  
  • Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes is advantageous
