Job Summary



The Transaction Services Representative serves as part of the faculty HR team within the Office of Academic Affairs for the IU Indianapolis campus.


Department-Specific Responsibilities


  • Provides high-level support to maintain records accurately.

  • Validates information and ensures compliance with university policies and state and federal regulations.

  • Serves as an expert resource for departments regarding processing various transactions.

  • Works closely with all areas of the department to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.

  • May lead audits of data.

  • Reviews and approves all eDocs for faculty and academic employees at IU Indianapolis, IU Columbus, and IU Fort Wayne. Acts as campus final approver.

  • Guides HR staff in units on eDocs for faculty and academic employees at IU Indianapolis, IU Columbus, and IU Fort Wayne. Acts as campus final approver.

  • Conducts review of monthly faculty HR audit reports and makes corrections where necessary.

  • Prepares monthly Academic Administrative Report and quarterly Board of Trustees Agenda faculty items for IU Indianapolis leaders, IU President, and Board of Trustees.

  • Conducts academic eDoc training for HR business partners and other HR professionals.

General Responsibilities


  • Approves, prepares, monitors, and adjusts transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with university policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Creates, maintains, and updates complex information in databases.

  • Recommends approaches to improve and streamline transaction processing to ensure quick turnarounds and accuracy.

  • May render decisions by assembling and evaluating documentation and evidence.

  • Resolves complex department problems accurately by researching policies and procedures, providing answers or approaches to questions and resolution of problems.

  • May make minor enhancements or changes in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness.

  • Provides guidance and assistance to other team members as needed.

  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all records and documents. Handles the most sensitive issues.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.


EDUCATION



Required



  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years in related field.

Working Conditions / Demands



This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary



$44,000 - $46,000 per year based on experience.
