Job Description:

SES Constructors LLC (SCL) is looking for qualified individuals responsible for managing daily preventive and corrective safety activities on Federal construction projects for the Federal government. The candidate must be able to conduct Site Safety Meetings, perform inspections, review submittals, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures are upheld. Prepare all Safety inspections and documentation required.

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Develop and Administer the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for the project (following EM 385-1-1).
  • Certify that all activities comply with contract safety requirements.
  • Provide site orientation for all project personnel.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections of equipment and services onsite per APP, AHA, and contract requirements.
  • Review and cover safety requirements and expectations with project personnel for each definable feature of work.
  • Ensure proper tagging, signage, barriers, and all other safety information and controls are installed and maintained to project requirements.
  • Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets and associated logs. Root Cause Analysis or other event investigation process as determined by the Health and Safety Director and/or the Business Service Line Health and Safety Manager(s).
Job Requirements Mandatory:
  • In-depth understanding of safety requirements for federal sites of civil, geotechnical, and marine construction projects.
  • 5+ years as safety officer experience desired with heavy civil projects.
  • Knowledge of construction (i.e., prints, plans, and procedures).
  • CPR/First Aid OSHA 30hr.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
ADDITIONAL PREFERED TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Can fulfill as Quality Control Manager.
  • 5+ years as Quality Control Manager.
  • Construction Quality Management (CQM) for USACE.
  • A safety, engineering, or construction management degree is preferred but not required.

  • Minimum Required Certifications/Education:
    CPR/First Aid OSHA 30hr
Salary:

$70,000 - $100,000 DOE
