Job Description:

Summary of Position

RSM plays a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives within a specific region to grow and establish our reputation. RSM generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; providing technical information; developing accounts. RSM works with and expands our channel partners to close prospective sales. RSM executes and maintains budgets and performance goals through all distribution channels in the territory.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory.
  • Conduct established field training with assigned customers, providing training and coaching guidance on products and services.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential customers; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Develops proposals utilizing established pricing tools.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new products; explaining technical features.
  • Maintains and expands company database of prospects within assigned territories.
  • Follows up with clients to ensure all information required is provided to convert provided quotes to approved projects.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements by staying up to date on all products.
  • Presents our products and services to prospective customers and specifiers.
  • Identifies customer needs and recommends product solutions.
  • Attend trade shows and other marketing activities designed to drive leads.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting reports on territory prospects and sales results as requested (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually as required).
  • Recommends changes in product and services by evaluating competitive developments.
  • Works closely with quality team to resolves customer complaints by field investigating problems, preparing site reports, and making suggestions to management and engineering personnel.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, vision, and core values and ensures their use and application.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill

Technical:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent work experience in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Minimum one to three plus years of sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Experience working with products in the noise control market is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Aptitude for computers and technical software programs.
  • Previous experience with CRM software.
  • Resilient with a proven track record in sales.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong follow-up skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.

Physical demands:

  • Ability to work well with high volume of stress.
  • Requires availability to work beyond a 40 hour work week.
