• Three- week JDI Lab Leader positions run June 23 - July 13, 2024

Job Description100% - Jayhawk Debate Institute Lab Leaders

• Attend all lab meetings with campers.


• Create an affirmative, case negative, and assigned core negative positions for campers to use.


• Work with students to develop debate skills such as speaking, researching, debate theory and argumentation.


• Present assigned lecture and provide supervision during lecture sessions


• Escort students to and from campus (by bus or foot).


• Judge practice debates and tournament debates.


• Participate in all camp activities.

Position Requirements

• Must be able to listen to and follow directions.


• Must be able to take on a position of authority.


• Must have a valid driver's license.

Required Qualifications

Must be an active member of the NDT/CEDA/High School policy debate communityMust have extensive policy debate experience at high school and/or college (NDT/CEDA) level

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coaching high school or college (NDT/CEDA) policy debateSuccess in debate competition on the college (NDT/CEDA) levelExperience working at a debate camp
