Job Description
Office Admin Associate to serve as Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology; serves as core liaison between chair and department faculty, other departments, college, hospital administration, and other healthcare professionals and visitors; manages daily administrative functions of the Chair's office; schedules high level meetings with executive staff of hospitals, the college, the university; coordinates operational issues related to the Chair's administrative and clinical schedule; collaborates with Chair and Department Leadership to support the maintenance of the policies and patterns of administration documents; resolves administrative and operational problems as appropriate; supports all faculty recruitment activities, researches and summarizes information to aid chair and department leadership in decision making and strategic planning; monitors, coordinates all aspects of complex travel for the Chair and faculty recruits; facilitates special projects as directed by department director and administrator; develops, prepares and distributes meeting agendas and minutes; coordinates and screens all information, correspondence and mail received for the Chair; independently responds to correspondence and inquires on behalf of the Chair; answers phones, screens and directs calls; provides background materials to facilitate action on requests received, highlighting action needed and deadlines; serves as Promotion and Tenure Coordinator; coordinates annual distribution and collection of information for faculty annual reviews.
Minimum Education Required

Required Qualifications
Per CCS Requirements: Six months experience using word processing software to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; 6 months experience (600 hours course work) in office practices and procedures; 6 months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
