The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Graduate Student for its Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA) in the Advanced Education program in Prosthodontics.
The Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA) in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics is a part-time position intended to provide an expanded knowledge base in prosthetic dentistry and provide clinical care experience as part of the dental school graduate program. The clinical component of the program includes all phases of prosthodontics, including fixed prosthodontics, implant prosthodontics, complete denture prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthetics and removable partial prosthodontics. The GTA will participate in the training program for the Advanced Prosthodontics Program with an emphasis on clinical experience and teaching. The GTA oversees dental students during delivery of dental care in the preclinical courses, participates in division activities such as lectures, journal clubs, and presentations at professional meetings. GTA may also participate in division associated research projects. All GTAs at the College of Dentistry are expected to: provide the highest possible level of service to patients/clients/students, promote teamwork and cooperative effort among each other and staff, maintain safe clinical practices, and abide by the college's policies and procedures as they may from time to time be updated.
Required: D.D.S. or D.M.D.; graduation from an accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school and eligible for post-graduate approved training; required to be eligible to obtain a training certificate, required to be American Heart Association certified in ACLS training. Acceptance to The Graduate School at The Ohio State University and a confirmed resident by the Prosthodontics Residency/Dentistry MS program. Must obtain an Ohio Dental License or Limited Resident's License with the Ohio State Dental Board.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
