Job Description:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) has an exciting AI (Artificial Intelligence) Support Developer (Systems Analyst I)opportunityavailablewithin our Information Technology Services End User Experience area.


About the Role


The AI Support Developer will be responsible for the daily maintenance, monitoring and reporting of current AI end user tools. This role works on various stages of the AI development life cycle, including model development support and deployment and monitoring. The AI developer is generally focused on integrating and implementing AI/ML algorithms and logic into the deliverables of an IT project.


Please Note: Hybrid work structure, which requires working minimum 1-day per week on-site at our downtown Detroit office (we provide free parking that is within covered parking structure connected directly to our building).

Additional aspects/functions of the role may include:

  • Plan, develop, test and implement IT system solutions that improve business efficiency and productivity as well as support business strategies and goals.
  • Identify and communicate business needs and translate business requirements into technical system and functional specifications.
  • Support one or more low to moderately complex business processes/systems for one business unit.
  • Serve as a project team member for projects of small to medium scope and moderately complex or sub-projects within a large or highly complex projects.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

  • One (1) year of relevant system solution development, testing and implementation work experience required.
  • Some experience with AI is a plus, but not required (as this is a more entry-level role).

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of business operations, systems requirements and IT processes.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude, adaptable to change.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.
