Cloud Security Engineer (Solventum)

The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Collaborating with Information Security and other engineering teams to select and implement appropriate web application firewall and other controls to protect healthcare applications and data.

  • Working with product, development, and infrastructure teams to continuously improve the security posture of web applications.

  • Automating processes to allow for rapid deployment, configuration, and protection of web applications.

  • Ability to be on call when necessary.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND six (6) years of experience in Information Technology

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND Ten (10) years of Information Technology

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:


  • Three (3) years of Linux system administration experience

  • Two (2) years' experience with AWS services such as VPC, VPC endpoints, Route 53, Security Groups, EC2, IAM, S3, ASG, Cloud Formations etc.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • AWS Cloud Certifications

  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices

  • Familiarity with a programming or scripting language

  • NGINX Web Server Administrator/Developer Experience

  • Experience of network fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS)

  • Good troubleshooting skills at all levels, from network to host to application.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting expertise for escalated incidents.

  • Skilled understanding and experience with HTTP and web application security

  • Understanding of SSL certificates

  • Familiarity with SQL injection, cross-site scripting, web scraping, CSRF, brute force, cookie manipulation, parameter tampering, and other emerging Layer 4-7 attacks/vulnerabilities

  • Ability to perform log analysis.

  • Expert technical knowledge of, and experience, troubleshooting TCP/IP networks.

  • Detailed protocol analysis using tools such as tcpdump, tshark, and Wireshark.

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
