Job Description:

As a Strategic Accounts Manager, you will be primarily responsible for establishing, building and maintaining positive relationships at all levels with assigned strategic accounts. You will also interact with and coordinate activities with PPG regional managers, Territory Managers, Business Development managers and our local distributor partners. The travel territory will include Eastern United States and 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and target customers to ensure long-term success.

  • Actively lead the sales process to gain new strategic accounts in assigned geography.

  • Act as the liaison between strategic customers, PPG internal teams and distributor partners ensuring clients' requirements are met.

  • Collect and analyze Paint and Material data and trends on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis when needed for key accounts.

  • Coordinate between customers and PPG's Sales and Marketing departments to launch new products when required.

  • Own the conversion process for new Collision locations for key strategic accounts.

  • Understand and be able to effectively implement PPG's direct invoicing model.


Qualifications


  • Proven work experience as a Sales Professional.

  • College degree preferred or m inimum of 5 years sales experience in the Refinish or collision repair industry.

  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting client's requirements.

  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics.

  • Understanding of collision center performance metrics.

  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
