Senior Data Science Specialist - Marketing

This role will play an integral part in our growing Marketing Analytics team and is critical to the success of our Enterprise Marketing function at Land O'Lakes. The role of Data Solutions Analyst will be to design, own, and operate the data hub for our marketing functions. It will utilize the newest marketing technologies, AI, and other tools to achieve our goal of being a high functioning, performance focused growth engine for the company. By partnering closely with our Strategy, Brand, IT and Business Unit teams this role will bring a strong focus on leading and applying industry best practices and incorporating data-driven decisions across our marketing activities.

Duties

• Lead and train the implementation of data solutions. Includes components such as integrating data from disparate sources, administering a complex data model, and building user facing tools such as dashboards and insights to drive action and change.
  
  


• Lead and train the building out of the advanced analytical and generative AI capabilities within the marketing operations team at Land O'Lakes. This includes exploring the AI space and identifying opportunities within Land O'Lakes marketing from enhancing processes to generating content.
  
  


• Direct the analytics operations partnerships with cross functional teams to best utilize analytical capabilities across functions.
  
  


• Devise and manage processes to handle the requests of analytical needs across the marketing enterprise.
  
  


• Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and develop custom solutions for marketing technology platforms.
  
  


• Assist in the creation of measurement frameworks for marketing campaigns and activities.
  
  


• Identify opportunities to enhance, streamline and strengthen our marketing data
  
  

Requirement & Skills

• 4-year degree in related field or commensurate experience
  
  


• 3+ years of experience in a data-oriented/business intelligence role.
  
  


• Understanding of metadata systems, entity-relationship modeling, and data management tools and techniques.
  
  


• 3+ years of experience building dashboards/data tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc.)
  
  


• 2+ years of experience administering data models and working with database technologies (Datorama/Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Snowflake, etc.)
  
  


• 2+ years of experience with programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
  
  


• Proficient with advanced analytical methods such as large language modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, etc.
  
  


• Ability to learn and adapt to the consistently changing data and marketing technology space
  
  


• Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams (marketing, IT, leadership)
  
  


• Ability to understand business needs and think strategically to recommend solutions
  
  


• Ability to identify opportunity with new and existing databases and marketing technologies
