B&W is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of manufacturing technical support functions in a high mix, engineered to order product manufacturing environment.
This position will be responsible for:
Shop Routings and Engineering Bill of Materials
Make vs. Buy decisions and cost estimating
Tooling/Fixturing and Inspection Gauge Design
Process Improvement and New Product Development
Capital equipment selection and installation. Troubleshooting of existing equipment.
Document and maintain shop process Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assist with 3-D models and drawings of components using AutoCAD Inventor
Work with other Engineers & Designers to ensure parts are designed for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) and provide feedback for design changes to reduce product costs
Work with Project Managers and QA to ensure shop routings include all inspection hold-points required to meet product and customer inspection and testing requirements
Work with Operations Management to ensure procurement and production bottlenecks are resolved
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ME or IE preferred)
Experience with 3D modeling software (AutoCad Inventor or similar)
General understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, assembly, etc.)
A motivated, hands-on, detail oriented, team player with a desire to continuously improve their skill sets and technical knowledge
Ability to work and communicate with all members of the organization
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
