We''re currently interviewing for our Packaging Operator and Assistant Grinding Operator roles. These positions are currently day shift, and will transition to 2nd or 3rd shift this fall.
Packaging Operator
The Packaging Machine Operator is responsible and accountable for assuring all finished product is packaged according to Q&FS specifications and QMP Standards in support of Mars Quality and Food Safety principles.
What are we looking for?
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a Highschool diploma, GED or equivalent education
Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
Good math, reading and writing skills
Knowledge of computers and equipment HMI's
Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude
Working knowledge of Safety, Quality and Material Management Systems and procedures
Working Knowledge of food safety, GMP, GHOP, HACCP, SPC
Effective problem solving, communication skills, and decision making
Other Requirements
Must be able to adapt to a flexible working schedule, including different rotations, shifts, overtime hours, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of working at elevated heights Must be able to lift 50lbs repetitively Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicals
What will be your key responsibilities?
Adhere to personal safety practices the meet OSHA & Mars standards to assure a safe environment for yourself and others. Maintain open communication with ensuring site safety policies.
Operate within specified efficiency/productivity standards based on formulation and packaging capability and within established finished product Q&FS specifications for each formula.
Perform quality checks, and maintain accurate documentation as defined by the QMP and site requirements.
Perform packaging equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance activities as defined in SOPs to assure finished packages are in compliance with Q&FS specifications and QMP standards.
Perform AM responsibilities in the area, in line with MSE.
Adhere to the master sanitation program as defined by Sanitation MSS.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the area, to drive performance and plant KPI's.
Participate and adhere to all food safety requirements, Quality Management Processes, and site safety programs ensuring that all standards are met.
Engage and demonstrate teamwork, in line with the site culture.
Assistant Grinding Operator This role is capable to assist in operating the grinding lines with safety compliance, quality and food safety compliance. Manage the GMP/GHP and overall safety requirements within the area.
Operating and monitoring grinding line according to production plan
Raw ingredient quality inspection
Maintain raw ingredient inventory levels and daily inventory reporting
Responsible for the hygiene of the grinding area
Can do basic maintenance of equipment in line with AM
Complete production reports and handover
Support MSE deployment
What are we looking for?
High school, GED or above
Have work experience in food or feed industry
Accept irregular working hours and overtime
Good communication and teamwork
Microsoft Office
1-3 yrs of experience in mfg setting required
3 - 5 yrs experience in mfg setting preferred
Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and procedures
Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with individuals at all levels and functions.

Stop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are broken
Support & promote plant safety
Environment
Ownership of environmental responsibilities in the plant
Quality and Food Safety
Follow Royal Canin standards and working procedures
Support the site HACCP program
Ensure GMP-GHP 's in the plant
Maintain any CCPs, OPRPs, or PRPs in the department
Describe and report non-conformities.
Analyze for root causes and undertake correctives actions
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of materials
Human Resources
Support E&T activities in your area
Attend training as scheduled
Responsibilities
Preparation for start-up
Manage the process to the production plan
Shutdown and cleaning
Collaborate with forklift drivers to ensure stable supply of raw materials
HRCI Inventory of RM
5S and daily cleaning tasks in the area
Support and execute AM responsibilities
Any task as delegated by Shift Manager
Cleanliness and Tidiness
Define and share with QFS the cleaning programs
Perform Housekeeping Checks to ensure compliance to 5S
Communication and Information
Participate in CP handover meetings
