Job Title: Director, Global DTC Consumer Journey & UX

Reports to: VP, Global DTC

Location: US - Remote

The Role

In this role, the Director of Global Consumer Journey and UX will elevate our strategies in integrating and personalizing the consumer journey across all touchpoints within our DTC ecosystem. This individual will lead a team of UX designers in collaborating with global brand, channel, CRM, and technology leaders to conceptualize and execute consumer journeys aimed at fostering lifelong relationships with our consumers through pinnacle brand experiences.

Drawing upon data-driven insights and industry-leading user experience design practices, this visionary leader will collaborate closely with partners to ensure that our consumers embark on personalized journeys that are meticulously optimized, thoughtfully curated, and seamlessly orchestrated across our DTC ecosystem.

Your Impact

The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:


  • Lead collaborative efforts with cross-functional leaders across each brand within the Deckers portfolio to strategize and implement a sophisticated roadmap focused on personalizing and interconnecting the consumer journey across all DTC touchpoints.

  • Employ advanced data analytics, consumer segmentation strategies, and cutting-edge UX design methodologies to craft seamless consumer experiences across DTC interactions.

  • Forge strong partnerships with diverse teams encompassing marketing, channel leadership, customer care, and technology to ensure seamless coherence and alignment across all consumer points of contact.

  • Assume leadership of the Global UX team, driving the development and execution of innovative solutions to elevate the consumer experience across all digital and physical DTC channels.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing consumer lifetime value, satisfaction, and brand advocacy.

  • Oversee the maintenance of up-to-date journey maps tailored to individual personas for critical journeys.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and leading practices in consumer journey mapping and UX design.

  • Establish robust key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the efficacy of consumer journey initiatives and monitor progress over time.

  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and inspiration to the Global UX team, fostering a culture defined by creativity, innovation, and excellence.

  • Demonstrated history of achieving significant outcomes in enhancing consumer engagement, satisfaction, and lifetime value through tailored experiences.

  • Proficiency in analytics, with a knack for extracting actionable insights from data to drive strategic decisions and recommendations.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding communication and presentation aptitude, coupled with the capacity to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.

  • Established leadership credentials, showcasing the ability to inspire and galvanize teams toward accomplishing ambitious goals and objectives.

We'd love to hear from people with


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in design, marketing, business administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of extensive experience in consumer journey mapping, user experience design, and/or digital marketing, with a specialized focus on DTC channels.

$205,000 - $220,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location . Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
