The Financial Analyst will prepare, analyze, and present financial data and results as required by Finance and Bank Management, including monthly financial reporting, variance analysis. Prepare, analyze, and present budget and forecast. Prepare and file regulatory reporting for all companies within the Holding Company. Assist in managing the Bank’s asset liability risk and related reporting, as well as management of investments and funding options. Assist with other duties as required within the Finance Department such as accounts payable, wire desk and cash management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure proper entries are posted to the general ledger by reviewing the trial balance daily for reasonableness, researching variances
Review and correct GL Unpost and GL Force daily
Assist in generating recurring management reports
Assist in developing additional analysis and reporting that may assist Finance Management
Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings (FR 2900, FR 2644, Call Report and FR Y-8). Provide backup coverage for quarterly regulatory filings
Perform daily, monthly and quarterly review of Reg W Affiliate Transactions
Prepare investment reconciliations. Prepare and post recurring adjustments for AFS and Equity securities
Assist in monitoring BIN relationship(s) by completing the daily cash monitoring
Complete general ledger maintenance on various systems (Jack Henry, Profitstars and OutlookSoft)
Provide backup and support for various Finance functions as needed
Maintain fixed asset schedules and reconcile to the general ledger
Skills and Qualifications
Business management or accounting degree preferre
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Finance
Education or experience that would enable incumbent to meet essential functions and required competencies of the position
