Clinical Research Coordinator

The CRISMA Center of the Department of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for its team to assist with day-to-day clinical trial activities. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with flexibility in assuming assignments, as well as the ability to work independently. The incumbent will be familiar with the research process, be attentive to confidentiality and ethical issues, and understand IRB regulations. This position requires the ability to multi-task and to proactively identify challenges associated with a protocol to permit the implementation of innovative solutions. Phlebotomy skills preferred. This position does call for the ability to work a varied schedule at multiple facilities.

Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.

Essential Functions

Identify, screen, and enroll subjects in research studies. Coordinate and administer study-related activities for enrolled subjects. Collaborate with study team to implement all aspects of research study. Track and report unanticipated events and investigate specifics surrounding these events.

Physical Effort

The incumbent must have the ability to stand for extended periods and must be able to walk for extended distances. No heavy lifting required.
