As a Network Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and repair to EPM network systems, along with responding to maintenance requests regarding system defects and other issues, and troubleshooting problems with network systems by running tests.
Job Description
We are looking for a Network Technician. This position will be a full-time and onsite contract to hire role in Lyon Station, PA.
What You'll Do
Performs routine monitoring checks/audits and actively communicates the results
Accountable for troubleshooting system failures and identifying roadblocks in the network
Resolves moderately complex LAN infrastructure issues
Assists with testing and configuring software
Contributes to the design and installs computer networks, connections, and cabling
Evaluates network performance to improve the network
Coordinates and schedules upgrades and maintenance without interrupting business workflow
Collaborates with vendors to acquire equipment for the networks and systems
Performs other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required
1 to 3 years of experience as a Network Technician, Network Maintenance Technician, or similar role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent level of education, training, and work-related experience may be considered
Working knowledge of network and system efficiency to implement network solutions
Understanding of how to install and configure network equipment
Ability to communicate with people with various levels of technical knowledge
Diagnostic and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems and find solutions
Proficiency in computers, software, and database systems
Open to coaching with the ability to apply feedback
Critical thinking skills to solve complex problems
Dexterity when handling manual repairs and tests
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Work is primarily conducted in a climate-controlled office environment.
There may be occasions where work requires visits to a manufacturing plant or Distribution Center
Ability to exchange accurate information with all levels of the organization
Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and manual dexterity
Requires occasional carrying, maneuvering, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds; lifts over 50 pounds must be with proper assistance or lift equipment
