CIQ OVERVIEW

CIQ believes in giving people and companies the tools to do great things. We do this by building strong communities for open-source software, innovating software infrastructure, and building the next generation of performance computing.

Our software stack consists of Rocky Linux the CentOS replacement, Apptainer the container solution of choice for HPC, Warewulf a provisioning and cluster management solution, and Fuzzball our next-generation performance computing platform that is a multi-cloud, multi-site, multi-cluster, and multi-node.

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Head of Linux Product, you will leverage a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and creative problem-solving to develop long-term strategic plans for our product lines. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and assessing the company's product performance within the Linux Space. Your goal will be to align the vision, innovation, market demands, and user needs, and to help make CIQ's Linux offerings the cornerstone of the enterprise market. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

? Determining the demand for products and services and identifying potential customers to extend the company's reach.

? Presenting cutting-edge strategies to improve product performance.

? Understanding industry problems and the competitive landscape.

? Measuring product progress and success using data and metrics.

? Driving initiatives to push the boundaries of innovation across company products or emerging markets.

? Analyzing user feedback and connecting user needs with product goals.

? Providing ongoing market analysis and action plans. Connecting the short-term goals to the long-term vision.

? Collaborating with different teams within the organization on product development, innovation, and launch.

NEEDED TO SUCCEED

Successful candidates will have excellent business acumen and a deep understanding of and expertise in Linux products. Strong creative problem-solving and organization skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Curiosity that drives you to ask questions, dig in and explore. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a remote team environment. A friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and always striving to be better attitude.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Proven work experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, or a similar senior strategic role. Proven work experience in Linux. Experience working cross-functionally across an organization. A background in software, technology, SaaS, or a related field is strongly preferred. Experience with the open-source community is preferred.
