The associate will repair equipment breakdowns which include welding, plumbing, acetylene cutting, bearing replacement, seals, shafts, and other mechanic malfunctions. You will be responsible to perform mechanical preventive maintenance of all production equipment and perform major mechanical overhauls of machinery and equipment. In addition, you will be required to perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds. Incumbent must maintain accurate records of all time and material used for all assignments and enter the information into the Maintenance system.
Essential Functions:
Works as part of the Maintenance department.
Provide routine and complex maintenance to the facility machinery.
Inspects machinery for issues and develops a plan on how to properly fix, install or assemble equipment and ensure it operates safely and productively.
Must be able to use a variety of power tools.
Must be able to read and understand diagrams and blueprints to evaluate the correct procedures to follow.
Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced.
Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.
