Position: Manager II, Advanced Analytics



Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066



Duties: Build, interpret, quantify, visualize, and communicate the impact of data and other business intelligence into meaningful reporting and analysis for advertisers. Work with large, disparate datasets and other business intelligence sources to conduct ad hoc "back of the envelope" analyses and report on market trends, consumer insights, and advertiser or brand specific performance. Work with the Sales team, Account Management team, and clients in support of illustrating the impact of the advertising campaign and associated strategy by defining and deriving the key performance indicators (KPIs) and funnel metrics to measure their performance. Drive the creation and execution of both recurring and ad-hoc insights requests from surveys to infographics. Regularly research Wal-Mart and advertiser-specific trends across digital marketing in both cross-channel and omnichannel mediums. Understand business needs and translate strategic initiatives into detailed product specifications. Work with Product Managers to catalyze product development. Develop and improve upon Wal-Mart's methodology for demand forecasting and inventory replenishment logic. Conduct predictive time series analysis on advertising inventory data to produce inventory availability forecasts and targets. Use multi-objective optimization techniques to help advertising the operations and sales teams balance inventory fill rate and revenue goals. Design scalable workflows and tools to automate processes that would otherwise be manual and time-consuming. Leverage knowledge of SQL, HIVE, mainstream reporting, and Omniture to aid in the design and development of complex data pipelines to process large datasets. This position does not supervise other employees.




Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field



Skills required: Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language on Airflow to automate job execution processes. Experience using data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker. Experience coding in a querying language using Big query. Experience using code hosting platform Github. Experience using Confluence for documentation. Experience using JIRA and Azure DevOps for project management. Experience with statistics. Experience using Hadoop and Hive. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.




Salary Range: $116,646/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
