What you'll do...


Interested in taking on complex compliance challenges in a fast-moving environment? The Director, Global Sanctions Compliance, Control Testing and Risk Assessments is an important leadership role in Walmart's Global Sanctions Compliance program. The role will partner closely with our business segments and international markets to develop and execute Sanctions Risk Assessments that considers inherent risk and control efficiency to derive residual risk, as well as a control testing plan that verifies controls are in line with the expectations of the U.S. Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This role will support the Sr. Director of Global Sanctions Compliance in ensuring the Sanctions Program adheres to the Framework for OFAC Compliance Commitments.



What you'll do:

• Design and implement a risk-based processes and controls that align with OFAC's expectations, particularly around Risk Assessments and Control Testing.
  
  


• Partner closely with our business segments to understand their sanctions risk.
  
  


• Build and maintain strategic relationships with our business segments and international markets.
  
  


• Proactively spotting and mitigating emerging risks in the sanctions compliance space.
  
  


• Implementing mechanisms to monitor adherence to Walmart's Global Sanctions Policy.
  
  

What you'll bring:

• At least 8 years-experience with sanctions laws and with building compliance processes and controls.
  
  


• Skilled communications skills; ability to break down complex subjects so that they are easily understood by all audiences.
  
  


• Experience navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations and managing competing priorities and risks.
  
  


• Ability to influence and lead people across cultures at a senior leadership level.
  
  


• Curiosity and willing to learn about emerging technologies and lines of business.
  
  

This position will be based out of the home office in Bentonville, AR.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience. 4 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
