We are looking for a hands-on Project Coordinator, Inside Project Manager, or Estimator to join a fast-growing company in Columbia, MD. Looking for individuals with strong technical skills who can manage our bids and proposals. Must be willing to travel at least 25% of the time. This position is onsite daily.
Responsibilities • Review RFPs / requirements for contract mods / new contracts • Lead internal estimating effort on standard spreadsheet integrating with ERP • Develop proposal (Technical / Commercial response) • Negotiate / discuss proposals with clients and make updates • Review orders and hold kickoff meetings for operations and accounting • Commercial communications with key clients (phone, text, chime, email) • Job costing reviews with Project Manager / General Manager
Requirements • B.S. or B.A. in mechanical engineering or related field from an accredited university - OR - equivalent work experience. • Minimum of 3-5 years of Project Management experience - OR - related technical experience. • Knowledgeable about conveyors and industrial equipment. • Experience obtaining construction permits is a PLUS! • Must have good business sense and able to build basic spreadsheets for estimates. • Must possess the financial sense and ability to analyze if projects are over/under budget. • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) both internally and with customers • Ability to build strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines. • Must be a self-managed individual who is a team player.
