Manager of Regulatory Compliance

Full Time

Remote / Limited Office Time (1-2 per week, Downtown Chicago)

$75-90 Base Salary

SUMMARY OF ROLE

Reporting to the Director, Education and Publications, the Manager of Regulatory Compliance, will be responsible for coordinating submissions and renewals for state certification this org's classroom, online, and live-online education programs. In addition, this role will maintain accurate records and a large quantity of data for submission and renewal applications, liaise with Chapter Executive Directors and State Boards, and work to improve processes and increase efficiency. Compliance with state and federal regulations is a critical component of the Education business model and this a great opportunity for a highly organized professional with strong project management skills seeking to make a difference while building a reputation for industry impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Ensure state certification approval and renewals of courses, seminars, online programs, live-online programs, conferences and other collaborative conferences are current.
  • Analyze current state certification processes to develop and implement more efficient processes for the department to meet all compliance guidelines with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Research and maintain current knowledge of state and federal legislation and regulations of the professional licensing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate state certification program data and records, including instructor and location approvals.
  • Establish Certification department as a trusted partner to state agencies with the goal of ensuring that education programs meet requirements and standards.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, state agencies, chapter leadership, and staff to ensure that various stakeholders of the org are informed about state legislation dealing with licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, or refer questions from registrants and chapters regarding state certification approvals, renewals, and pending submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Government Relations team and local chapter leadership to propose changes to state agencies that advance interests, as well as the interests of the profession.
  • Communicate with state agencies and participate in conferences and meetings to inform decisions and practices.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLSET, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience, preferably managing a large quantity of data and a high-volume of work
  • Non-profit or association experience preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence positive change
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, thinks creatively, and likes solving problems
  • Experience operating CRM systems successfully, including maintaining data integrity and report information
  • Ability to analyze data and convey complex information clearly
  • Time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
