The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for preparing and interpreting information for decision making, while maintaining Fixed Asset group narratives and controls.
What will you do?
As a Senior Fixed Asset Accountant, you will:
Analyze lease qualifications and prepare reconciliations.
Prepare & maintain journal entries and reports.
Support and record lease inventory with accuracy.
Oversee the assembly of reports and process improvements.
Discover trends through financial data analysis and document.
Provide auditors with documentation, and suggest improvements to various departments.
Discover opportunities to utilize software tools and accounting systems to implement process automation.
Develop ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Ensure accuracy and FASB and GAAP compliance.
What are the requirements?
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study preferred and CPA or CPA eligible required
5-10 years accounting experience (audit & tax experience preferred)
Oracle experience (Oracle Property Manager a plus)
Proficient knowledge of Lease Accounting and Technical Accounting
Proficient knowledge of GAAP, FASB, General Ledger Accounting, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.
MS Office & PC skills
Demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter with ability to establish and meet goals and deadlines
