Job Description
  • Timely managing the execution of pre-commissioning, cold and hot commissioning and complete start-up work of Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Upgrader systems in accordance with the specifications
  • Coordinating and supervising the vendor representatives, including inspection/approval of their systems and proactive claim management
  • Work closely with the overall project manager for the specific project
  • Supervising plant trial runs and performance tests with various vendor and internal automation engineers.
  • Practical training of customer personnel and monitoring their performance/understanding
  • Ensuring the requirements regarding the customer contract, project-specifics and handover of the plant are met, including assisting the Project Manager in contacts with Client representatives
  • Managing and ensuring the preparation of commissioning documentation and supporting the as built documentation including final reports and certificates
  • Preparing the commissioning reports to the project management and to the commissioning department
  • Executes for the Warranty and Service Department in the headquarters plant supervision tasks
  • Executes for the Warranty and Service Department in the headquarters maintenance works
  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment to HSEQ. Actively encourages and leads the HZI and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
  • Ensures that all relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into commissioning in consultation with site management, HSE and Commissioning team and that HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
  • Ensures that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) or HAZOP recommendations are reviewed with regards to HSEQ requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS / HAZOP.
  • Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control, and for stopping work where this might be compromised
  • Supervises and checks the commissioning works being performed by the contractor in respect of timescales, HSEQ and compliance with the approved drawings and standards
Qualifications
  • Must have work experience as a commissioning engineer, ideally in Continuous industrial process or Power plants
  • In-depth experience in interpreting functional, piping and instrumentation diagrams, as well as, electrical schematics.
  • Experience with functional industrial plant testing procedures
  • Very good knowledge of best HSE practices and local HSE requirements, possessing relevant training certificates
  • Demonstrating excellent HSE commitment and orientation, driving by example on HSE main priority approach
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens S7 and Rockwell Contrologix)
  • Work experience in a global matrix organization - International experience an asset
