TMS Johnson, Inc. is a full service, supplier of quality HVAC equipment and solutions to the contracting and engineering communities in Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. We are looking for a talented accountant to join our fast-growing company in New Hope, MN. The accounting position will report directly to our Accounting Manager and be responsible for a full range of staff accountant duties.
Essential Job Duties
Reconcile month-end general ledger accounts and post adjusting journal entries.
Reconcile bank statements and make necessary adjusting journal entries.
Review monthly revenue and expense variances and financial statements.
Maintain fixed asset listing of additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Process and remit monthly multi-state sales tax returns.
Assist with inventory analysis.
Assist in the annual audit & review process.
Generate and send invoices/credits to customers in a timely manner.
Record and apply customer payments to accounts.
Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and approval.
Review vendor statements and resolves any past due or missing invoices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or at least two years relevant accounting experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
