Our client is a leading company in manufacturing; they are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team.
The Purchasing Manageris responsible for directing and coordinating all activities related to purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies within the organization. This role involves managing procurement functions, overseeing the procurement team, developing procurement procedures and policies, monitoring supplier performance, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Focus:
Manage and coordinate the procurement function, including overseeing Buyers and procurement activities for valve materials, actuators, and outsourcing services.
Review and monitor MRP requirements, utilizing purchasing modules in Syteline efficiently.
Develop and implement procurement procedures and policies as necessary.
Oversee procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production needs.
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance closely.
Track and monitor purchase costs for materials and finished parts.
Lead process improvements to increase departmental efficiencies.
Supervise employees in the Purchasing Department, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
Skill Set:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
Minimum of 8 years of purchasing experience, with at least 5 years of Materials Manager experience.
Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Safety-conscious with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Customer service-focused with strong analytical abilities.
Skilled in planning, organizing, and adjusting projects with multiple phases.
Experience in process improvement methodologies is a plus.
