We are based out of sunny Southern California at the Tilly's RSC. You'll hear the term RSC a lot, it stands for Retail Support Center since our corporate offices are here to support our retail and online stores.

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Benefit Manager the Workers Comp and Leave Administrator will ensure workers compensation claims, leaves of absence and workplace accommodations are appropriately captured, documented and executed following state and federal regulations and Tilly's company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Workers' Compensation Administrator
  • Properly document all incident/accident reports to carriers within 24 hours
  • Establish and maintain a file and notes on all open claims.
  • Partner with carrier to move claims toward closure.
  • Coordinate the employee's release to transitional duty.
  • Ensures WC accidents are properly recorded in the OSHA Log.
  • Participates in developing strategies to reduce claims frequency and severity.

Leave of Absence Administrator
  • Primary contact for all leaves of absences and workplace accommodations
  • Review and assess employee accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with ADA and other applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with HR, payroll, and benefit teams to ensure accurate tracking and administration of leave and accommodation requests.
  • Develop and deliver training and resources for employees and managers on leave of absence and accommodation policies and procedures.

Benefit Administrator
  • Administer company benefits as it relates to leaves and WC.
  • Maintain up-to-date benefit payments for employees on leave.
  • Help maintain benefit and accident inboxes.
  • Assist employees transitioning to COBRA coverage.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in multistate leave and workers compensation administration
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in HR or related field (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the leave of absence process and state laws relating to leaves of absence.
  • Proficient in MS Office computer programs
  • Experience utilizing HRIS Systems (ADP preferred)
  • Able to communicate effectively and empathetically with employees and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience and willingness to implement process improvements.

What to Expect?

Hourly Salary Range: $25-$30: Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, qualifications, and skill set.

Based out of HQ in Irvine, CA with a minimum of 4 days in office.
