Role: Mainframe Job Scheduler
Location: Dallas, TX (or Westlake, TX or Austin, TX)
Job Description
Support Mainframe and Distributed Batch Scheduling and Operations (both TSO and Enterprise Manager GUI versions).
Perform day to day operational activities which includes Job Abends, Re-run/Restart, Force-OK, Adhoc /Out of Schedule batch run, batch scheduling i.e., add/delete/modify and Prepare Turnover report.
Work within tight deadlines and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Taking charge during critical situations and co-ordinate with various support teams for a quick resolution.
Follows escalation procedures when appropriate to resolve Batch Abends in a timely manner.
Recognizes abnormal processing conditions and makes appropriate response decisions.
Identifying the opportunities to improve/automate the existing processes.
Good testing and trouble shooting skills on MF(skillsets - JCL,TSO ISPF, REXX ).
