GalaxyCon is a festival of fandom that celebrates comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more. GalaxyCon is more than a comic-con, it's a galaxy of fun! ????
We are looking for a Photo Sourcer while sourcing high-quality images that capture the essence of our fandom festivals. This role requires a keen eye for photography, a deep understanding of pop culture and the ability to curate images that resonate with our community of fans.
This position is on-site in our Fort Lauderdale offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Create event folders, partner show graphics and maintain Dropbox to keep current
Source images for autograph signings from various sources i.e. online databases, agents, etc.
Edit and restore images using Photoshop
Communicate with the print team to ensure prints are reviewed and high quality and send to talent for agent approval.
Work closely with the marketing and social media teams to understand image requirements and deliver content that aligns with campaign objectives.
Create thumbnails for images for Shopify products and upload all agent-provided images/headshots to appropriate folders and maintain consistency with headshots
Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or the equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, or related field preferred.
Familiar with Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Cloud, Dropbox and Google Docs
Knowledge of graphic design principles, such as typography, layout, color and branding
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management abilities
A passion for comic books, pop culture, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, gaming, cosplay, and more
A willingness and ability to travel to GalaxyCon events, which may require working on weekends and holidays
