We Include is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a culture of inclusion for individuals with disabilities in workplaces, schools, and everyday life. We Include is the sister organization of local nonprofit, Help Us Gather, which advocates for social inclusion and creates social events and opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Tampa Bay. We are looking for several current college students to assist us for a six-week internship during the months of June and July. The intern role will be part of a team working on a special research project to improve the lives of students with disabilities. Alongside nonprofit staff, the team will examine the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), current disability policy, and proposed disability legislation. We will also examine classroom accommodations create resources for teachers and school administrators to use to create the best learning environment possible for students with disabilities. In addition to research policy analysis, the intern team will create attractive marketing materials and video content to be featured on www.weinclude.org.
This opportunity is open to current college students who have completed two years of coursework toward a bachelor's degree.
