Blossman Services, a division of Blossman Gas & Appliance, Inc. seeks qualified Auto Technicians and EFI Tuners with prior automotive, alternative fuel installation, auto calibration, or strong mechanical experience to apply online for the position of Automotive Technician. Our R&D Techs work as contributing members of the Alliance AutoGas (Blossman) team. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone with auto mechanical/ASE experience to work in an alternative fuel (green burning option) auto fuel industry.
As the largest, independent propane company in America, Blossman Gas operates more than 80 retail locations throughout 12 states. AutoGas and Small Engine conversions (gasoline to propane) and design enhancements are a growing part of our business.
Technician Essential Duties:
Perform work specified through set standards
Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, and electrical with primary focus on engine fuel systems
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to management and customers
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through training sessions to stay abreast of changing technology
Inspect and test vehicles; record findings so that necessary repairs can be made
Keep clean work stations and tools
Ability to travel 25% to support customer installations on-site
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of automotive repair experience and/or formal training; or equivalent of education and exp.
ASE Certifications - recommended (A8, L1, and L3)
Pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen; possess a current driver's license/clean driving record
Work an assigned schedule which may include overtime when needed
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical terms into non-technical terms
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office but training available for the right candidate)
Team oriented, flexible, eager, and focused on customer-care
Prior working knowledge of an Automotive Repair Shop and equipment
