The Associate Project Manager will primarily focus on supporting project teams and leading small projects to deliver Material Handling Systems (MHS) on time, on budget and within scope. Responsibilities will include supporting the workload of other Project Managers by pioneering small projects and assisting alongside the full project lifecycle.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



  • Assists with partial project plans and task management for small projects with up to $10m budgets

  • Leads small projects by managing their scope, schedule, and cost both internally and with clients

  • Leads the development of a portion of client deliverables and presentations

  • Manages financials and provides analysis of projects including cost management, cash flow, expenses, and staffing

  • Writes and delivers high quality documentation and analyses

  • Fosters positive communication between internal teams, city/county permitting and inspection officials, sub-contractors, and the client

  • Makes tactical decisions and ensures their fruition

  • Supports and drives high levels of performance both internally and externally




REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or 3-7 years of work experience within: industrial, mechanical, or civil engineering; industrial construction management or supply chain



Knowledge / Skills / Competencies:


  • Basic project planning skills

  • Ability to work effectively on a team and support prominent levels of performance

  • Ability to employ persuasion skills with discretion and consideration

  • Ability to gather data and analyze findings

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage others

  • Interpersonal skills such as influencing others without bias or authority

  • Superior communication skills, both written and oral

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks with an elevated level of accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment

  • Exhibits desire to continually add value and ensures accuracy and quality in all work performed

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills



Other Qualifications:


  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Ability to perform essential requirements of the position




WORKING CONDITIONS: When working in-office, there may be periods of sitting at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods of time. The ability to speak and clearly hear, in-person and by telephone; use of hands to handle, feel, or operate standard office equipment; and ability to reach with hands and arms. Associates are frequently required to walk and stand. The noise levels in this work environment are usually quiet. When traveling to client sites, essential requirements may involve a physical presence in various environments and locations. Physical stamina may be required for prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters. Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment amidst a variety of building materials is probable, as is occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from being quiet, to moderate, to excessive. Safety shoes or boots may be required in certain situations. Additional safety clothing including gloves, hardhats, and devices to protect eyes, mouth, or hearing, will be worn, as necessary.

The base salary range for this role is $64,200 to $96,300. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
