We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Support Technician working with Inno-Spin, LLC through Bihler of America (BIA). Inno-Spin located within our BIA building located in Phillipsburg, NJ. Inno-Spin is the joint venture partnership between BIA and Amsted Rail. Engineering Support Technician
To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily while adhering to safety, ergonomics and environmental requirements. Job Duties includes (but not limited to).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up and maintain Robotic Laser Welding equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality requirements surrounding equipment
Perform monitoring of equipment operations through the observation of gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machinery is working properly
Troubleshoot and remedy causes of non-conforming product or mechanical failure of line components
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all production equipment to include inventory of critical spare parts
Perform breakdown analysis
Monitor the Preventative Maintenance plans for all Inno-Spin assets
Support training activities for Line Technicians and Machine Operators so that PM’s are done safely and correctly
Repair mechanical systems, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatics and air compressors, and pumps
Document work schedule and work tasks completed
Work with team to develop and maintain items for the QMS system including work instructions, PM sheets, ISW documentation and any other assigned activities
Perform basic housekeeping to keep area clean and safe
Participate in new project launches and development items including machine programming and tooling fitment
Perform other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Computer Skills: Must be able to show a basic understanding of computer operations.
Prior Experience: 4 years in related field with proven industry experience
Other Requirements:
Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams and product manuals to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment
Understand and follow proper lock out/tag out procedures as required
Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
Communication at all levels of the organization both written and verbal
