Job Description:

DH Pace Company, Inc. is searching for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Olathe, KS! The Financial Analyst will be a core member of the financial planning & analysis team. Core activities will include:

• Assist with implementation of forecasting application


• Creation and maintenance of KPI dashboards


• Assist with administration of annual and periodic forecasting processes


• Building enhanced tools used to forecast cash flows and balance sheets


• Financial analysis on monthly & quarterly actuals


• Interaction with treasury, process improvement and operational teams


• Ongoing support as we strive for best practice with our planning and reporting applications

Primary responsibilities:

• Proactively drive ideas for analysis, cost savings, and other efficiencies by presenting analysis to management and actively collaborating with key stakeholders.


• Prepare, develop, validate, and maintain periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual) and ad hoc financial and operating reports, report packages, dashboards and analyses using reporting software.


• Investigate variances to understand trends and potential risks and opportunities.


• Gather and process information from disparate sources. Organize and present such information in a coherent and consistent format. Understand, reconcile, and ensure consistency of financial data.


• Identify and resolve reporting issues and drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and financial planning structures through system enhancements.


• Work as a critical member of the team implementing new financial planning and reporting software. Serve as subject matter expert on financial reporting, consolidation, and budgeting processes.


• Define report requirements with internal customers and end users, produce repeatable and reliable financial and operational reporting. Provide recommendations on report and data structures and system enhancements to support reporting requirements.


• Additional ad-hoc financial analysis & responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and experience in Financial planning/analysis and Financial reporting. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 


• Must have minimum of Three (3) years of work experience in a professional finance setting.


• Proficiency in financial reporting and business intelligence packages, SQL, ERP systems, and financial reporting systems very desirable.


• High proficiency in Excel, including analysis of large datasets via PivotTable or other means. 


• Self-starter, superior attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
