Our client is seeking a Azure FinOps SME in Miami, FL.


Role description


This individual will be assessing the current Cloud & Infrastructure configurations to gauge where there are opportunities to improve cost efficiency and drive these cost savings initiatives hand-on while also collaborating with the team in ensuring the initiatives are completed.


Creating the road map and critical analysis for costing, project development and resource management on the Azure Platform. Dealing with CI-CD Pipelines for the build and release management dependencies. Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities. Setting up tools and required infrastructure. Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation. Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage. Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.


Skills & Requirements


• 5+ years of Azure Cloud DevOps Engineering / Architecture within complex, enterprise environments
• Must possess strong subject matter expertise creating Azure roadmap and critical analysis for process optimization
• Must possess strong Cloud FinOps experience w/ a focus on cost efficiency and cost reduction on the Azure Platform and Infrastructure environment to include:
o Analysis and tracking of cloud-based infrastructure costs for Azure cloud
o Automating the gathering of cost and usage-related data thereby effecting cost reduction in cloud environment
o Leading data-driven analysis and decision-making on cloud spend and identifying areas of improvement working closely with key stakeholders
o Drive process improvement in the cloud hosting cost savings initiatives across the organization
o Develop, track, maintain and report on the processes and infrastructure for cloud hosting spend across the organization
o Ensuring deployed solutions are scalable, and cost-efficient.
• Must possess strong hands-on experience driving change and configuring implementations within Infrastructure and Cloud Platform
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to problem solve and liaise with the business and cross-functional teams
