Mission/Role:


As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing structural engineering services with a focus on substation & renewable energy projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of critical infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities:


Structural Design and Analysis:


  • Conduct structural design for high voltage substations, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards.

  • Perform analysis and design calculations for various structural components.

  • Prepare and review design drawings and specifications.

Investigation and Assessment:


  • Conduct condition assessments of existing structures.

  • Develop remedial work options and cost estimates.

  • Evaluate structural performance and recommend improvements.

Project Management:


  • Manage major and minor design projects from inception to completion.

  • Supervise other engineers and CAD technicians.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.



Mentoring and Leadership:


  • Assist in mentoring junior staff.

  • Support the development of less experienced engineers.



Requirements:


  • Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in structural engineering, including design and condition assessment.

  • BS in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

  • Professional Engineering License

  • Proficiency in structural behavior and materials, especially concrete & steel.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in computer analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE).

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD (experience with Revit and/or Sketchup is a plus).

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
