The Events Specialist is part of a team responsible for developing and implementing a wide portfolio of events that support the strategic vision of Mass Eye and Ear. Reporting to the Senior Events Program Manager, this person is a key member of the Mass Eye and Ear team and collaborates with internal and external audiences, including development staff, physicians, scientists, trustees, hospital leadership, donors, patients and other key stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supports strategic planning and execution of wide range of events including the Mass Eye and Ear Gala
• Key member of leadership work group planning and executing the programming related to the Mass Eye and Ear Bicentennial Celebration
Manages various development events including chair celebrations and "friendraisers"
Oversees event execution elements including venue selection and contract negotiation, vendors, collateral design and printing, deliverables, logistics, guest experience, and operations
Successfully plans, manages and executes multiple events simultaneously
Collaborates and communicates with development staff and internal stakeholders across MassEye and Ear to align events with hospital and system goals
Supports community health and engagement events
Manages event budgets, communications and reporting
Analyzes, tracks and reports on event metrics
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, with 5-7 years of experience in events or directly related field, is required.
Must possess ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams
Demonstrated ability to research and analyze complex issues.
Excellent writer and editor with keen attention to detail.
